Aggressively Promoting Planning and
Infrastructure in Communities and Improving Rural Community Land
Consolidation and Public Facilities.
In the long past, rural
villages in Taiwan have been lacking of overall planning and
construction, causing narrow roads, poor water drainage,
insufficient public facilities, unspecific land borders,
incomplete hills, complicated authority relation, poor environment
quality and loss of existing local culture characteristics,
natural ecology and landscape. In some farm lands, new farm houses
were built, destroying production resources and fragmentary
development of farm lands. In light of territorial planning in
consideration of the width and depth of construction in rural
areas, we are now working aggressively under land readjustment in
rural village communities and improvement of public facilities to
upgrade infrastructure and develop existing local cultural
characteristics as well as natural ecology and landscape in the
hope to achieve the goal of comfort in life, sustainability in
ecology and delicacy in production.
Rural
Consolidation is in accordance with Rural Community Land
Consolidation Act to appropriately expand rural community scope in
consolidation on community roads, water drainage and polluted
water system, etc to obtain lands for public facilities for parks,
parking lots, and squares, etc to improve the life quality in
rural communities. Also, we will have rearrangement of land
registration and land exchange, separation and combination to make
hill lands complete and face roads after consolidation for
buildings in order to enhance land utility and value. Between 2005
and 2008, we have completed consolidation for 13 places in
outstanding performance. A great number of communities require
consolidation. On 10 September 2008, Executive Yuan approved Rural
Community Land Consolidation 6-year (2009-2014) Demonstration
Program to continue rural consolidation.
