V.Status of HSR Chiayi Station District Development

Project Objective
The public project for HSR Chiayi Station District is planned per urban development needs and city design standards. The following five objectives are expected:
a. Creating an environment for high quality life and industrial development.
b. Providing infrastructure for the public projects in the station and industry specific area.
c. Integrating the development of the station district and the surrounding environment.
d. Building the station district to be the new center of Chiayi development, in order to maximize the benefic of the station district development.
e. By providing a convenient transportation service for the medical industrial park, to advance the medical care level in Chiayi and Yunlin Area.

Project Scope
This station district locates inside the administrative area of Taibao
City, Chiayi County. Its current
scope is mainly the farm land of Taiwan Sugar Corporation. County Road No. 168 traverses and is the major access road of
the district. It is 5km away from
the west of Shuishang Interchange of National Expressway, 3km away from the east
of Chiayi County Government, about 10km away from Puzi City, and about 20km away
from Chiayi City.
The center of the station district is the HSR station.
The north boundary of the project scope is the current railway of Taiwan
Sugar Corporation; the east boundary is 170m away from the west wall of Taibao
Junior High School; the south boundary is close to the current Chunzhu Channel;
the west boundary is adjacent to the Changed and Expanded Chiayi County Seat
Urban Planning Area. The total scope is 136 hectares.

Land acquisition public project items for
HSR Chiayi Station District include:
Land grading, road construction, rain water
drainage, public illumination, traffic facility, parking lot, sewage drainage,
common ducts, tap water pipeline, relevant lifeline setting, landscape and
common duct electrical and mechanical facility, fire fighting, water pumping and
drainage, ventilation, monitoring equipment, etc.
