VI. Status of HSR Tainan Station District Development

Project Objective
The land acquisition public project for HSR Tainan Station District is planned per urban development needs. The following five objectives are expected:
a. Creating a new environment for high quality life and industrial development.
b. Providing infrastructure for the public projects in the station, residential and commercial areas and industry specific area.
c. Building the station to be the key of transportation in Tainan area, and maximizing the benefic of the major thoroughfare metropolis of Great Tainan.
d. Integrating the development of the station district and the surrounding urban and rural areas, in order to make the station district to be the new center of Great Tainan development
e. By providing a convenient transportation service for the Greenfield site of National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium¡XTainan Branch, to advance the recreation and tourism industry in the neighborhood.

Project Scope
This station district locates at Shalun Farm of Rende Sugar Factory,
Guiren Township, Tainan County. Its
administrative area belongs to Wudong Village, Shalun Village and Datan Village
of Guiren Township. Its northwest
boundary is more than 10km from Tainan City; its north boundary is 5km away from
Guiren Township Office.
The center of the station district is HSR Tainan Station.
The north boundary of the project scope is 200m away from the south edge
of Tainan-Guanmiao East-West Expressway; the east boundary is adjacent to the
current farmland of Taiwan Sugar Corporation, which is 760m away from the east
of center point of HSR Tainan Station; the south boundary is close to the
Fifteenth Public Cemetery of Guiren Township; the west boundary is 100m away
from the west of County Road Nan-149. The
scope of the project is 299 hectares.

Land acquisition public project items for
HSR Tainan Station District include:
Land grading, road construction, rain water
drainage, public illumination, traffic facility, parking lot, sewage drainage,
common ducts, tap water pipeline, relevant lifeline setting, landscape and
common duct electrical and mechanical facility, fire fighting, water pumping and
drainage, ventilation, monitoring equipment, etc.
