I. Project origin:
In the 6th land consolidation zone for Changsheng Military Camp in Xinying District, Tainan City, the land was originally used as the military communication training base (formerly known as Changsheng Military Camp), but it has been idle and deserted since the withdrawal of the army in 2000. So, it is to be used as the land for government authorities and parks in the urban plan for Xinying District. Therefore, upon review by Tainan City Government and convention of various government authorities for coordination, Tainan City Government has confirmed its needs for land use. Meanwhile, the land is to be developed for public use in the hope that there can be less idle land and the rights of landowners can be maintained to promote regional development.
II. Scope:
East: Yumin Road;
West: Xinsheng Road;
South: Jianye Road; and
North: Xinjin Road.
III. Area: about 11.34 hectares.
IV. Project host: Bureau of Land Administration, Tainan City Government.
V. Project management agency: Land Consolidation Engineering Bureau, Ministry of the Interior.
VI. Project Content:
1. Fence project: The total length of construction fences is about 1,302 meters.
2. Land grading work: The elevation of the land grading work is determined according to the elevation up to the top of side ditches around land parcels. In principle, the balanced earthwork will be executed by construction surplus soils exchanged with adjacent public construction sites and applied for the working zone. The area of the land grading work is about 11.34 hectares.
3. Road work: The site contains 4 roads with a total length of 864 meters.
4. Park road work: The park road is about 2.4 meters wide, and the total length is about 440 meters.
5. Drainage work: The total length of side ditches is about 1,775 meters, and the total length of single-hole box culverts is about 403 meters.
6. Sewer system work: The pipe culverts are about 595m in total length. This work includes 29 precast manholes.
7. Public illumination work: There are 29 4m single-arm LED street lights and 69 9m single-arm LED street lights.
8. The total length of buried pipelines are 872 meters, and the total length of water pipelines is about 1,378 meters.
9. Green landscaping project for land parcels: The land parcels are greened with straw mulch. The total area is about 0.8 hectares.
