I. Project origin:
The project is located in the Central Region Children's Home under the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The Central Region Children's Home under the Ministry of Health and Welfare mainly serves children who have suffered from domestic calamities, abuses and neglect. The main purpose of the building is to provide a warm home that can “help children develop a good character and independent living skills and become citizens responsible for themselves, families and the society.” The building is designed and planned considering the surrounding landscape of the Children's Home, existing building configurations, and the needs of the children, in hope that a perfect living space can be provided for children.
II. Base location: 8 Land Numbers at 1, Sub-Section 3, Zhongmin Section, Western District, Taichung City.
III. Base area: 5419.76 square meters.
IV. Total floor area: 2510.6 square meters (The building coverage ratio is 39.49%, and the floor area ratio is 177.43%).
V. Structure type: 4 floors above the ground, and 1 underground RC structure.
VI. Project host: Central Region Children's Home under the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
